It's the beginning of school again.
I was thinking about abandoning this account and just using it to follow people O_0 Especially now that I have a tumblr to post to.
But! I've started my minor in studio art!
It's very exciting - I'm already learning so much after just two classes!
So, be warned...
I shall be posting more art, here and on tumblr, soon!!!

Yesterday I got my license.
Mary did as well.
So we decided to take a trip downtown to celebrate.
Last minute before we left, I decided to invite Kyle along.
We set out, Mary and Kevin leading the way based on mental navigation and Nick and I following with written directions, just in case.
Even with the written directions, we got horribly lost.
So Mary (who had shorter curfew) headed downtown as we waited for Kyle to take a brisk, healthy jog to our car.
When he got there, we apologized for being so lame and headed out. It would have been smooth sailing except we were low on gas and for some reason, the dashboard lights were very low. So Kyle used the light on his phone to help me see how fast I was going while Nick contacted our mom about the gas stations in Belton.
The HEB gas station was full, of course, and the next one was dim and had old style pumps that we weren't sure how  to operate.
At the Cricket station, I pulled into a spot, but then realized my tank was on the other side and attempted to maneuver in from the other direction. It was very difficult and the other people at the gas station thought it was funny. Kyle and Nick did not hesitate to elaborate on everyone's thoughts.
I left the station to calm my embarrassment and frustration.
Luckily, the Valero was much easier to get into that the Cricket. When we successfully parked at a pump, Kyle cheered. Through all three of our combined efforts, we managed to get gas in the tank and fix the dashboard lights.
We caught up with Kevin and Mary and went to The Weigh Station (after Kevin reminded me to go turn the car lights off). When we had finished our yogurt, Mary went home and the rest pf us headed down the few block to Arutia's and played a quick game of pool. Now, through the evening, I was a bit clumsier than usual (on account of nerves, no doubt) and that added to the fact that I had never played pool before made me a very poor teammate.
By the end of the evening, I felt disappointed. My embarrassment had lingered through the night, much more than I wanted it to, and I was sad that I wouldn't see my companions for a while afterwards because of college.
But hanging with friends is always fun and I knew we'd be laughing and joking about it soon enough.
